From Srila Prabhupada:
Today is the appearance day of Lord Nrsimhadeva. It is called Nrsimha-caturdasi...So this is very instructive struggle between the atheist and the theist. This story of Prahlada Maharaja is eternally true. There is always a struggle between the atheist and the theist. If a person becomes God conscious, Krsna conscious, so he will find many enemies. Because the world is full of demons. -- "Nrisimhadeva Appearance," May 5th, 1974, Bombay

Sri Nrsingha Caturdasi
Is the Holy Appearance day of Lord Nrsinghadeva, the half man half lion incarnation of Lord Krishna. The Lord appeared in this wonderful form in order to protect his five-year old devotee Prahalada from the cruelties of his demonic father Hiranyakashipu.

Prayer:
 (Srimad Bhagavatam 5.18.8)
oḿ namo bhagavate narasiḿhāya namas tejas-tejase āvir-āvirbhava vajra-nakha vajra-daḿṣṭra karmāśayān randhaya randhaya tamo grasa grasa oḿ svāhā; abhayam abhayam ātmani bhuyiṣṭhā oḿ kṣraum

TRANSLATION: I offer my respectful obeisances unto Lord Nṛsiḿhadeva, the source of all power. O my Lord who possesses nails and teeth just like thunderbolts, kindly vanquish our demonlike desires for fruitive activity in this material world. Please appear in our hearts and drive away our ignorance so that by Your mercy we may become fearless in the struggle for existence in this material world

 (Srimad Bhagavatam 5.18.9)
 svasty astu viśvasya khalaḥ prasīdatāḿ
dhyāyantu bhutāni śivaḿ mitho dhiyā
manaś ca bhadraḿ bhajatād adhokṣaje
āveśyatāḿ no matir apy ahaitukī

TRANSLATION:
May there be good fortune throughout the universe, and may all envious persons be pacified. May all living entities become calm by practicing bhakti-yoga, for by accepting devotional service they will think of each other's welfare. Therefore let us all engage in the service of the supreme transcendence, Lord Sri Krishna, and always remain absorbed in thought of Him

Dallas Ratha Yatra 2010
The Temple wishes to thank all the devotees who helped so much to make our Ratha Yatra festival a success this year.  Special thanks to their Holiness Giriraja Swami and Rtadhvaja Swami for their presence and talks from the stage. The deity department brought in a special devotee, mother Akunthita to repaint Lord Jagannatha, Lord Baladeva and Subhadra devi.  Thanks to Mother Chandravali and to Narrottamananda Prabhu for preparing the deities for the parade and their pujari duties on the cart.  Cart dcorations were done by Mother Alex and was wonderful.  Thanks to all who helped her.  Much thanks to Caitanya Chandra Prabhu for getting the brakes replaced and for all his usual help with his parade trailer, sound system and kirtan leadership.  Prasadam was awesome thanks to Mother Manjuali and to Kunjabihari Prabhu for cooking and to Anil Prabhu and his crew for serve out.  Also big thanks to Anil for keeping us all watered during the parade and Tanmai Jewellers for matching the water and cart prasadam distribution (nuts) sponsorships. Thanks to all who chanted and danced and especially to all who helped with the setup and cleanup.

Appreciating Kalachandji's Community
jagannatha kripa dasaCongratulations to Bhakta Bob who got initiated on May 22nd, 2010 during our Dallas Ratha Yatra festival.  His initiated name is Jagannatha Kripa dasa.  Jaganatha Kripa has been serving our community since 1992.

1992-1995 - He was part of the crew headed up by Sri Raga Prabhu who did major temple renovations:  (entire basement, downstairs kitchen, offices, ashrama,  the Gurukula; building Tulasi greenhouse, main Temple hallway).

He is one of our go to persons, who worked on all types of maintenance work for our community homes.  One of the highlights of his service is that Jaganatha Kripa Prabhu helped out Jita Vrata Prabhu to build the Ratha Yatra cart, and it is only fitting that he got initiated on Sri Jaganantha Ratha Yatra festival day.

2005 - Jaganatha Kripa Prabhu has been involved in the distribution of prasadam for our Food for Life program.

His current involvments are:  Food for Life; book room inventory, painted Kalachandji's Restaurant over the Christmas holidays; bhoga runs for Kalachandji's restaurant; helped install irrigation system at Kalachandji's Community Garden

We appreciate all his efforts in serving Sri Sri Radha Kalachandji and the presiding deities of the temple and the community of Sri Sri Radha Kalachandji Dham
