Sat, Nov 28th: Gita Jayanti - The Advent of the Bhagavad Gita

On Saturday, November 28th we will be celebrating Gita Jayanti, which commemorates the Bhagavad Gita being spoken to Arjuna by Lord Krishna before the battle of Kuruksetra. 
 
We will be reciting all 700 verses of the Gita in Sanskrit, followed by the English translation.  If you are interested in leading the reading one of the chapters, please contact Nityananda Chanda at 214-669-3369.

Gita Jayanti is also the time to sponsor Bhagavad Gitas that will be given out to guests for the upcoming year.  Gitas can also be purchased for personal distribution.
 
 
The cost to sponsor hardcover Gitas is $11 per Gita or $108 for 10.

12:30 p.m. Recitation of Gita begins
4:30 p.m.  Arati of the Bhagavad Gita & Kirtan
5:30 p.m. Feast
7:00 p.m. Class on the Bhagavad Gita by H.H. Prahladananda Swami
